Eel River Expo: A Source to Sea Community Event
Join Us for the First-Ever Eel River Expo: A Source to Sea Community Celebration! Presented by California Trout and the Rotary Club of Eureka Something big is happening on the Eel River - and you’re invited to be part of it! This year marks a turning point for one of California’s wildest and most iconic watersheds. With the historic removal of the Potter Valley Project dams on the horizon and the next phase of watershed restoration underway, we’re celebrating a major moment of renewal for the Eel River. The Eel River Expo is a free, family-friendly event that brings together community, science, and storytelling. Expect hands-on activities for all ages, inspiring talks from local leaders, and the chance to connect with scientists, conservationists, and community groups doing on the ground work across the watershed - from headwaters to the sea. Whether you're a lifelong local or just Eel-curious, this is your chance to learn, celebrate, and imagine the future of the river together. Free to attend - please register in advance on the website registration page.
