DESCRIPTION:2023 Humboldt Folklife Festival is Coming Up\n\nArcata\, CA  Humboldt Folklife Society invites the public to the Humboldt Folklife Festival\,\n\nscheduled for July 23-29 at Dell'Arte in Blue Lake. The Folklife Festival is a showcase for the\n\nmany talented local musicians who live here in Humboldt County.\n\nThis year's festival comprises six different events over the last week of July.\n\nSunday July 23 is a new event\, the Folk School Day\, a full day of free music workshops to\n\nencourage more people to make playing music a regular part of their lives. There will be classes\n\non bluegrass guitar\, banjo\, songwriting and more!\n\nTuesday July 25 is the Songwriter Showcase\, featuring Matthew Wallace\, Bruce Taylor\, Zera\n\nStarchild\, and Claire Bent. Showtime is 7:30pm in the Carlo Theater at Dell'Arte in Blue Lake.\n\nWednesday July 26 is Under the Stars\, featuring Ponies of Harmony\, Sequoia Rose\, and festival\n\nfavorites Huckleberry Flint. This show starts at 6pm and is outside in the Amphitheatre at\n\nDell'Arte in Blue Lake.\n\nThursday July 27 is Bluegrass and Beyond with Rise & Bloom\, Fickle Hill\, and Horse Mountain.\n\nThis show also starts at 6pm and is outside in the Amphitheatre at Dell'Arte.\n\nTickets for the Tuesday\, Wednesday and Thursday Shows are available at Brown Paper Tickets:\n\nwww.brownpapertickets.com/profile/1117423. Folklife Members can purchase tickets at a\n\ndiscounted ticket price.\n\nFriday July 28 is the traditional Barn Dance at the Arcata Vet's Hall from 7p-10p\, with host band\n\nCidermill and caller Lyndsey Battle. Tickets are $10 general/$5 members\, students\, seniors and\n\nwill be available at the door. No partner or experience is needed.\n\nSaturday July 29 is the All Day Free Festival (by donation) back at Dell'Arte in Blue Lake\,\n\nfeaturing Country Pretenders\, Canary and the Vamp\, Compost Mountain Boys\, Cadillac Ranch\,\n\nThe Oyster Baes\, Sari Baker\, Grupo Mar Pacifico\, Oh Mercy\, A Drop of the Pure\, Humboldt Taiko\,\n\nEric Leong\, Soul A Mente. Kray van Kirk\, Julio Perdido\, Blueberry Hill Boogie Band\, Vanishing\n\n\n\nPints and the Beatles Singalong.
