The event is an Open Team Branding:\n\n  Pick your 4-person team. Enter up to 2\n\nteams.\n\n  $80/ person\, $320/team\n\n  60% payback to winners\, 40% to cattlemen to cover event costs.\n\n  Rules will be explained in a contestant\n\nmeeting prior to the event.\n\n  $25 insurance day fee for non HDNCA\n\nMembers\n\n\n\nThis year our meal and awards ceremony will be held in conjunction with the Fortuna Chamber Mega-Mixer. The Fire Crew starts at 4:00 p.m. Saturday with lighting the fires. Wood is added each hour until 1:00 a.m.   with the bed of coals just right\, the beef is added\, pits covered with plywood and sealed with canvas tarps. The meat cooks until 10:00/10:30 a.m. Sunday when the meat comes out.
